Our Journey

Through our work TAUW helps to shape a vital living environment. We do so with and for our employees, clients and partners. Our Living Ambition Report shows the progress we made in 2025. In this annual report, we present our performance across all key areas, highlighting our journey, impact, projects, clients, partners, people and financials.

It’s not just a daily job, it’s… a living ambition

Embracing change

Reflecting on 2025, TAUW achieved solid turnover growth in 2025 in a challenging market environment. Turnover increased by 12.1 percent to €194 million. Our financial position remained strong, with 44% improved solvability and a healthy liquidity. Net profits in 2025 were €3.1 million, that decrease is the result of a slight decreased level of EBITDA and the full year effect of amortised goodwill following the acquisitions of Consultes in Belgium and planwerk elbe in Germany. These results reflect a year in which TAUW specifically invested in international growth, integration and further consolidation of the organisation.

Alongside this financial performance, 2025 also marked a period of leadership transition as the organisation prepared for its next phase of development. In December, Harald de Graaf was appointed interim CEO, providing continuity during this transition period. These developments create a strong foundation for 2026, when the direction of our updated strategy will be further defined and supported by a management structure appropriate to the challenges of the coming years.

Harald de Graaf, CEO TAUW:

Our people are at the heart of all we do. Their expertise and commitment form the foundation on which TAUW creates value for both our clients and society. Thanks to the current course and organisation, we are well-placed to continue making a sustainable impact on our living environment in the next phase of our strategy”

Strengthening our foundation

Winning new projects increasingly depends on early client engagement, regulatory foresight and the ability to mobilise integrated expertise across borders. To support this commercial reality, TAUW has continued to invest in strengthening key organisational functions. Throughout 2025, teams in HR, Finance, Legal, IT and commercial support were further professionalised to ensure that our commercial ambitions are backed by consistent processes and a well‑aligned operational foundation. More streamlined support functions enable smoother client engagement, clearer project delivery pathways and a stronger connection between market needs and internal capabilities. By improving data quality, digital tooling, cross-border collaboration and knowledge sharing, TAUW is better positioned to respond to evolving client expectations and a more selective investment climate.

TAUW’s long-standing client relationships and high proportion of returning customers demonstrate sustained trust in our technical quality and regulatory depth. Building on this strong base, we continue to reinforce structured client engagement, deepen sector knowledge and support clients with prioritisation, compliance, transition planning and implementation. Ongoing investments in innovation, digital tools and capability development further differentiate TAUW as a specialist environmental consultancy. They ensure that our experts have the structures and support needed to deliver high-quality work, while enabling us to address complex environmental challenges with a unified European approach and strong local presence.

Celebrating achievements across our countries

Across our European organisation, 2025 was marked by meaningful local achievements that reflect both our growth and our commitment to sustainable impact. TAUW Netherlands and TAUW Italy received Gold EcoVadis ratings, while TAUW Germany and TAUW Belgium achieved Bronze, underscoring the strong sustainability performance within our country organisations. The year also saw TAUW Italy celebrate its 35th anniversary, highlighting its longstanding contribution to environmental expertise in the region. In addition, we expanded our presence through the opening of new offices in Granada, Dijon, Milan and Munich, strengthening our local reach and enabling us to support clients even more effectively across Europe.
